Done at Zeemax this weekend. Little bit down on power, torque not to bad.
Question- Shall I blow this car or keep it standard?

Wow they make about 175kw on the wheels up here. You making less power at sea-level.

what model z3 u have?
on a hyperpower dyno , down here in dbn running simialr correction, that number is more or less right for your car.
my brother z3 m coupe made 230kw in 3rd gear , and 242kw in 4th.
i have seen schintzer mcoupes make about 210kw atf on these sort of dyno's , so i would not be overly concerned.

I think the Z3 MCOUPE's was downrated. It has the S50B32 motor, same as in the later e36 M3. The car is a 2000 model, but must be a 1999, and registered in 2000. Trouble is I have no idea what the real kilometers is on this car. It was subject to an odo hack by who knows. Last Mplan reading was 64k, the odo now reads 20k, I suspect the car has in the low 100k on the clock. I checked the motorplan for spark plug changes, there was none, I removed the spark plugs last week for inspection, seems they were never changed. The gap on some must have been close to 3mm. Anyway, I replaced them with new ones. At the dealer it's about 250 bucks per plug. I must admit she pulls strong, I have a 330i E46 as well and the MCoupe is about 1.5 seconds better than the 330i 0 - 100. I will book the car in by Zeemax, Zaid said he will do some more testing on it.

really 175kW? i know of one that makes 180.9kW atw in JHB, no software or mods, shame on you sherwin.

I think we should compare apples with apples. Zaid at Zeemax said I'm down about 10kw against a better example on the same dyno. I see figures quoted ATW on this site that needs a bit of salt added.

Agree with you there Whacko, I've seen cars have as much as a 15kw difference in power reading from one dyno to another, your power that you made seems pretty decent to me.

Yeah, it seems to be "normal" to say. It is definitely faster than my 330i. I was a bit concerned as I don't know the real mileage of the M as some @ssholes did a cluster hack on her. But I am also between decisions whether to leave the car standard or do some drastic changes/mods like supercharger etc. Was hoping someone on the forum would make up my mind.:thinker:

2002 is the S54 motor, did you have any conrod issues with yours?

But your engine has the substandard bearing shells. So could go at any point. A friend did the recall pre-empting failure and thier was signs that the bearing shells were shifting.
