Howzit guys

Thinking about changing my Navara 2,5 Dci for an X3 since the price of the 2009/10 models are around R200k.

Some questions,

Does it run only on RFT? :nonono:

Can it be serviced out-of-plan by someone other than an Agent? If so, do they have books to stamp or just the Key? :idea:

Whats the ave consumption/ mileage per tank? :fencelook:

Being a BMW i'm sure 200000km+ is just about where it run in at :joy:

Mine is a 2009 20d steptronic. It does not have RFT but a spare "Marie biscuit" (Emergency spare space saver) on the outside under the boot.
Out of motor plan it can be serviced by who ever you want it to be serviced but one day when you sell it the new aspirant owner will ask to see the service manual and it always gives peace of mind if it was serviced by the agents. I have always had my BMW's serviced by the agents. There are agents out there giving good service even if you must travel.
In town traffic my consumption is approximately 8.0 - 8.5 l/100km and on the open road 6.0 - 6.5 l/100km's. The fuel tank is 67L. Approximately 1100km's on a tank on the open road 120 km/h.
Should be lighter on juice than the Navara and maybe the 328i

I bought an 07 2.0d manual 6 speed 3 yrs ago om 120000ks. Now done 360000km, the only problems I've had have been my own doing. Ran the transfer case empty, as I was told they had a lifetime oil in so never checked it!!! Broke my intercooler and bent my radiator doing some "rough" offroading! (going to fast!!) Changed the belts and two of the idler pulleys
Other than that, all still original, same turbo, rad hoses etc:praise:
Fitted 235/65/17 tyres, had to reshape the front plastic fender inners (took 10 mins) no problems.
As for the fuel consumpsion, roughly as mentioned above.
I'm SUPER impressed :rollsmile::praise:
Ps- I also run my car on diesel and LPG, much more power and better consumption.
