X1 xenon headlights

Ill have the dealer look into that over the weekend imm lost as to why there would be bulbs installed but not utilized

Hi Meyer,

Tested this on the E90 facelift three series. The middle lights do nothing even though there is a bulb hidden inside. According to some websites it could be used for adaptive lights which we do not have. However on my 7 if I flash my brights the middle two halogen lights go on, however if I put the brights on, it uses the bi Xenons only.

So it must be just a placeholder.

Let us know what the dealers say as it's very interesting. Would be cool if you could code them to switch on as brights as well.

Spoke to the dealer today apparently those are for when u turn the side u turning to comes on but only if u have the latest software update . So ill go this weekend and let them do the update and we shall see he said it might not yet be released for the x1 the only way to c is to do the update and check

The bulbs light up the angel eye rings on the E82 1M - not sure about the X1 though!
