very true read.. i very fondly remember in the early nineties ,a friend of my dad's came round to show us his brand new toy : a 540i beemer..

fresh out of school my only possesion was a vw beetle.. being casually handed the keys to that car, and pushing it to the limit was a defining moment in my love afair with motorcars..

:inlove:

I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately I'm yet to be handed keys to a performance car by a stranger! My dad has always been a massive petrolhead though, has had some truly memorable cars over the past 20 years.

He tossed me the key to his then brand new E65 745i on my 15th birthday and said I could take it for a spin - with him in the car ofcourse:biglol:. Never got to push it, but my appreciation for cars reached a whole new level.

My petrolheaded-ness began when I could barely walk - My dad bought me a little electric jeep:

Note the E36 in the background, becoming a BMW enthusiast was inevitable!

this was really worth the read,i remember my first spin in an E36 4dr M3,was 16,i knew i had to own M car someday :praise:,remember my first spin in an E46 M3,had to have that as well but more clearly remember the day i picked up my E46 M3,enjoyed every single moment of that car, especially when that throttle was open, the raspiness giving that spine tingling sensation, dam i miss that car :inlove:
