I've said this before, but the new turbo-BMW engines are too muted. The X5M sounds like a very big TFSI motor - it's that large vacuum cleaner noise. And when you're up against the AMG V8 and its music, that's not good enough.

'tis pretty, though. Although E28 M5 FTW!

Agreed, I am also not a big fan of the sound of boosted cars.

It's different! I think I could grow to like it! The gear change sounds "harsh" from being so quick - probably not as rough in reality as older SMG technology. Down changes sound very nice though!

Yea, it does have a very different sound to it, not like the good ole NA ///M. One thing I love about the new generation is the black panel display but looking forward to see what they bring with the 3-series, that's where my interest will be going :thumbs:
