WINDSHIELD WASHER RESERVOIR

Hi Guys! I want to know if I can put a tap water in my car "BMW 320i e90 2009" windshield washer reservoir. Your help is highly appreciated. Thank You!

As long as the water is clean its fine:coolShake: you can add a bottle of windscreen clener if you want to which aids in removing dirt when spraying the windscreen

Thanks a lot. So can I just add a bottle of windscreen cleaner mixing with or without water? Which is the mostly recommended one that I can go for?

I suggest you pre-mix - it's easy enough. The OEM stuff is good but (probably) pricey - I use the Holts 'bug-remover' and it seems fine.

I would advise that you buy the OEM fluid , Other ones can damage the seals and the pumps ,I dont know how it damages it but some of them do , You wont see the damage now , but eventually it does . I had to replace my pumps for that exact reason , the pumps wont break they will leak , after I switched back to the OEM fluid , Iv never had a problem .

Its not so expensive , About R50 i think or more a bottle .

yeah i can vouch for this.... the previous owner of my car had used dish washing liquid and the whole system leaked like crazy when i got it. from what i had seen the o-rings had all gone, and not only that.. wiper blades were extremely cracked

Good points about the seals but I suspect the condition of the wiper blades was simply the result of excessive exposure to the elements and the sun.
