What are the dimensions of the windows of the E36 4door?
Not the front windscreen, just the doors and rear window.

I want to pull out all windows, mechanisms and motors to sell.
To be replaced by Perspex sheets and looking for a decent price.

Anyone here(CPT) IN that industry?

take cardboard and place them ontop of the glass when you have them out and cut to size... then use those as templates for the polycarb...

My e36 windows measure 3.8 mm thick so you would need 4 mm thick Polycarbonate . Either remove the windows and take them in to be copied for size or make cardboard templates . Hope it is not too expensive !!Good luck . For track use ?

polycarb is about the same price as perspex but is way more impact resistant and does not chip... the cheap polycarb tends to scratch more easily than perspex, but this is not a problem if you not going to be rolling the windows down...

Yip, just another stage in the super diet plan for the track car.

you can also go thinner and make a metal frame for the edges... ive seen that done often :) thickness will also make a big difference to the price...

Any other suppliers ? If you get a sheet 2x1 metres you can lay the cardboard patterns down and may get all 4 side windows out of the sheet .
You could use say 2.5 or 3 mm thick with a plastic surround ( piece of pipe slit down the centre ) and this can be stuck in the normal guide rails .
