Hmmmm, who makes these rules? Because that one is certainly made to be broken. In fact, the best shots I've seen are not like that, and you certainly do want the viewer to perceive the distortion, otherwise just use a normal UWA.

I have various software suites that can do that, but that kind of defeats the purpose IMO. Also it does not work well without cropping a bit, because 8mm is extreme and everything at the edges ends up being stretched to far. (A rectilinear UWA would also stretch the corners, but they usually don't go below 10mm (with the exception of a few new lenses, but IIRC they are not completely rectilinear))
In any case, I know I went overboard with keeping fisheye on the entire time, but I figured the other guys will cover the normal shots, so no need to duplicate.
