just spoke to my insurance broker

says the only people allowed to drive is my wife and i. i feel so much better knowing i dont have to make excuses.

he said even my son is not allowed to drive that car cause hes under 28

Is 28 the new 25? I remember hearing about how insurance will be fine once you're 25, then when I was 25 it was 26, then I kinda stopped worrying about it now I'm 28. Maybe on my birthday I'll get that 50% drop :)

Only my wife drives the m....and maybe 2 mates if they asked, but, know they wont. Why.? Cause they will buy me another no questions asked if anything happened in there care,

No renting, weddings, rides, etc... And all the kak I have heard from people

hi owens

what will be your response, if you were asked to borrow your M car. i have already had two people come up to me in a matter of a month. one is my wifes friend who wants to borrow my car for a wedding and the other is my uncle.

i personally am very unfomfortable about it. i think if they dont know the car and by mistake press the M2 button on the steering which is programmed for launch control with all safety systems off, they could loose control.

i think i have to brush them off with some excuse.

regards

M5 like toothbrush, very personal item, not to be lent out :nono:

i dont really have an issue with people driving my cars , especially if i am around. If i aint around, it would probably be limited to immediately family. I am also of the belief that they can be repaired/replaced which also why i dont buy brand new cars as they depreciate too fast..........

Over my dead rotting corpse since only my son and wife drive my cars and thats because I value them more than the cars anybody else doesnt qualify .

Borrow my car indeed ! I will scalp someone who makes such a request (verbally of course)

Problem is that when one sits in the seat of that new M5 and sees the HUD in the windscreen, they just might go into FighterPilot mode and then if they not familiar with the "Hick maneuver", they are going to lose blood from the G force and then pass out.....not going to end well

I've been in a buddies new M5 and screamed like a banshee under hard acceleration......it's a scary car, very scary....but so sedate when driven normally.

from experience, I rather not ask to drive a car like that as it's puts the owner in an uncomfortable position, and if it's a close friend or familily member who can drive, then maybe while you sit shot gun

V10 screamed. The new V8 is kinda a disappointment in the sound department.
