Its quite interesting that your wifes airbags didn't deploy, was she not wearing her seat belt? I heard they don't deploy if your seat belts not plugged in.

Here's mine and both airbags went off. I thought my car was on fire.

Makes me wonder if the manual overide on the passenger side prevented deployment.

No they were given R85 000 to repair it, i think it came to around 90 something. I'm glad they wrote it off though.

If she wasn't wearing her seatbelt the airbags wouldn't deploy. Or so I've been told.

Second hand parts and a repair on the LR Fender, and I would save the car.

New parts and new R Fender, and the car is a write off.

Guys.... Here's the update on the car- will be repaired by BMW at a cost of £11k excluding the car rental at £150/day for 2 weeks.

At wont be recorded as damaged/ repaired on any database and work will be warranted by BMW for a year.
