Only thing that I can think (a way of justifying this I guess), maybe the car was rear-ended and not fixable, so chopped and turned into this, so at least it still lives on in some other form...

True Philip. Or was probably on its way out. He wanted a bakkie and weighed his options. I would do the same. Its a E30 :=):

There are a few in South Africa !!
The floor level seems low , wonder if it has the standard rear suspension ?
The side opening tail gate is not nice .
Better than junking the car .

That workmanship from what I can see looks fairly good.

You have to admit that its better then the guy putting carbon fibre stickers all over the place with 22 inch rims and fuzzy dice...

I like it...

My E36 came VERY close to this :)

Really not my cup of tea but, as Leonard also pointed out, the workmanship looks pretty good. But still a :nonono:

Not my style, AT ALL. But you have to admit it's a head-turner probably not in a good way lol but I'm sure there are people out there who would love it.
There are many pics of cars like these, BMW even made an April Fool joke showing an E90 M3 pickup.

I thought the same thing,it looks like a clean job. Wrong idea but well executed if that makes sense.
