Hi everyone - I'm a newbie. I drive a BMW 320i e92 2009 automatic.
So, onto the problem. Whenever I'm driving no matter what type meaning either going 120 or going 50 in the city, I always run into the problem that when I reach a stop & accelerate, my car releases a cloud of white smoke directly from the exhaust.
I have zero clue as to what it could be but was told by a mechanic that I need to replace my engine and he would charge about 50k? Although I'm not an expert I can't agree - I have not driven the snot shit out of it and it's not really a sports car so how can the engine go when I've only done 162 000 k's? Is this normal for BMW's?
I must say that I only noticed this problem when I got it back from it's last service.
It does chow oil but I'm not sure if 10 litres in about 1.5 years is normal?
If anyone could give me some pointers or an idea of what it could be it would help..
Thanks in advance!
