Which performance upgrade is the best on a 120D

Hi Guys

Im looking to add performance on my 2005 120D sport.

Which is the best option to go for and also who is the best to get this done.

Whats the diff between remapping and a unichip?

in-line with the cars ECU, it enables us to tune the vehicle to its

Speak to Sherwin from Xcede , he has done a few 120ds and got very good results.

He did my E90 330d , all i can say is OMW.....

Not too bad prices...But most BMW guys would rather choose a reputable tuner from experiences on thsi firum and elsewhere!

This is what I'd do:

1) Software - I'd choose Exede as they making waves with BMW tuning...Their dyno graphs and 1/4 mile times speak for themselves. I have Exede on my E46 M3 and have never been happier..

You could also choose UNICHIP, FRC, Dimsport etc

2) Downpipe & Decat......Helps the sensitive diesel Turbos breath better and def gives you more power
Once again, I'd ask Exede for their advice

These 2 mods should free up plenty horsepower and lotsa TORQUE
Also try, Rob Green, Rennzport, Van Der Linde etc

id personally go DASTEK uniQ chip! we made 171kw and 620nm on a E46 330D on an un corrected dyno!
The uniQ chip is 100% tunable and completely removable and universal to work on your next car petrol or diesel!

Dont think ill go with SAC's gave them a call and they dont dont have much knowledge abt the remapping and can only guarantee 20% max performance increase -might not even be.

Called Sherwin from XCEDE who Gaurantees at least 30 kw more and abt 100Nm gain on the remapping.

Superchips abt the same as XCEDE spoke to Mathew but a guy comes to your house and does it, so wondering how reliable are they and if something goes wrong - no guarantee.

After talking with Pedrie about this on my e46 320d I'm driving up from bloem later this year to have the Dastek chip and zorst done. Keep the champagne on ice guys, i'll see you okes early December!!!
