i wouldnt want it to be, too slow :fencelook:

Its not all about faster man. it is to me

The driving dynamic on an M3 is far superior to any other 3 series. - agreed but i dont drive my car on a track and the x35i handles just great on the road

The suspension setup, diff and high reving motor is - ama glug glug. sound is great but not worth R120k (in this case) more

Kev,

You finally got on here... My view would be the m3, your silver one is immaculate so this would be a great addition.

The only thing is the 4 door doesn't have the same character as the 2 door.

The 335 you won't regret either, you have driven in my car but it is not quite an m3,

The 335 is pretty much new and still a long way to go before motor plan finishes. To be honest What about the new 335i, new shape, 5 yr motor plan.

There are many factors to think about, because I know you, at first glance I would say 335i, good car, pretty new and will last you a long time, with motor plan. At the same time, you have so many freaking cars, the m3 ,ought not be driven much anyway.. Tough one

x35i guys always talking about the fact they faster. If a buyer is seeking straight line speed that is the way to go.

Overall the M3 is still a better package. And the sound of that V8 :inlove:

i think you are mistaking a k04 for an x35i. the x35i is much more than straight line speed. you talking about a bmw here. sure its not as good as the m3 in the handling department but its pretty darn good for a helluva lot less. for road use, gimme the x35i. for the track, m3 please.

i dont believe the m3 is a better package. for what you pay and what you get, you better off getting an x35i. if money is not an issue then i will take the m3 with sc like mr sherwin. now we are talking. thats how the m3 should have come from the factory!

i am sure the new m3/4 will change everything!! :joy:

I was in the same boat when I boight my car .

Choice was 2007/2008 manual m3 dynamic's with roughly 50/60k on the clock..I test drove 3 of them and was ready to put pen 2paper when I came across my current car. It was a 2010 with half the mileage of the m3's and was very well specced, I also fell in love with the dct instantly and not having to worry about motorplan until 2015 was what made me sway my decision.
I still look at the v8 m3 with lust everytime I see one but I know I made the better decision for my situation...

At the end of the day, use both your head and heart to make a decision

 I had 2 already. My 135i is leagues ahead in my experience.

Awd does have its advantage tho.

2011 against a 2008, that's a no brainer! And cheaper too, 335i is the one to buy! It may be no M3 but it's wasn't intended to anyway... Lci looks good, needs a mag though.

M3 for me..

4 door e90 M3's are pretty rare, you don't see many of them around..
So it's a bit more exclusive in my opinion over a 335i.

Good luck

It's not always about numbers, You have the opportunity to own the equivalent of a supermodel, you could have a fairly good looking girl and give her implants and implants until they're double DD double EE or go for the Supermodel and have the perfect package :)

There is something special about owning an M car. You have one so you should know. The 335 is great no doubt, but the M3 is Epic...

M3 If you serious about perfection , its something that's been engineered by proffesional's . And to everyone saying a 335i is better than an M3 , I think that's just :roflol: . A 335i is a 320i with a big engine and big brakes . That's it . Nothing special , plus it looks common . Yes you can take it to a Exhaust shop or tune it , but they's no precision in it . It's still just an average car with a big engine . M3 speaks to the heart . Do you want a feeling of awe or a feeling of oh well ?

All BMW's are perfect.... The X35i has more than enough handling etc for the average driver....
320i with bigger brakes......?? Dude what u smoking???? Some like the understated looks of the x35i, you don't have to have the macho looks to be macho....
Wonder what 'awe' the M driver feels when he is passed by the x35i...:blab:

To the OP.... Just get a C63.... :=):

this car is for the family ie kids and wife??
Wat do you need a m3 for with stiff suspension, and loud v8, handling, perfect track car?? Seem quite pointless if you looking for family sedan.

I say 335, fits your needs perfect.

M3!

i have a 2010 335i coupe and if i had to do it all over again i would rather take a slightly older M3.

The 335i might be slightly quicker etc up here at altitude but some things arent just about numbers..

My M3 is used for the family, not the 330 and this is with a extremely loud exhaust. No ones complaining.

A stock M3 is very quite, especially on the open road and the ride isn't hard. Go drive one with the active M suspension and in "comfort" mode its as soft as a 3series with the M-sport suspension and fitted with run flats, if not slightly softer.

Trust me I own both. Although my 330 ain't a 335, besides the engine its more or less the same car.
