Wheeler Dealers

Was watching an episode of it yesterday

They were fixing a E30 325i Touring up.. The first thing they did to it was put in a cone filter with no heat shield..

I could not believe it..

But it was good to watch anyway..

Some of the stuff they do I cant believe.. Like I would have steam cleaned the engine first.. Then an oil change & new spark plugs..

But no they put a cone on it & free flow.. @ least they flushed the PS fluid, but how dirty it was I would have flushed it twice..

And they will put a new set of wheels on but keep the same old rusty wheel nuts

Those guys are a bunch of chops. I saw them spray a car once with a couple of rattle cans!

Last week they rebuit a whole engine without cleaning it first.

I remember looking at the cylinder head they received back from the "specialist" it was still filthy dirty after the rebuild.....sheesh

I like watching wheeler dealers, I have to agree I like to wash things before and when I work with them, I just make me feel better when things are clean, no-one will ever see that the holder for the cabin filter has been cleaner but I feel better know that it is.

Plus when you are working with the engine outside the car there is no better time to clean the engine.

I have the E36 M3 wheeler dealers ep, but the one ep that stood out for me was the Audi Quatro. Fixed it up and cleaned it... THEN THEY TOOK IT ON A RALLY COURSE!! WTF!!

If anyone wants I do have all the Overhaulin Series. All america old school cars, but still good to watch.

Wheeler Dealers, is that not the program where Ed seems to work for no money whatsoever? They price everything up at the end of the build parts etc but dont seem to include his labour time?? maybe thats the reason he does not clean anything and cuts all sorts of corners. The poor sod isnt getting paid!! HaHa.

I also think they do the rebuild over a few months.. Not like overhauling in 7 days..

So its like a hobby for Ed, not his full time job

That was when they had the Porsche not sure if it was 928 or 924 (thanks P1000).

But the E36 M3 ep, that mobile wheel guy refurbed the wheels in that panel van, talk about service delivery.
