Hi guys
I will probably need a new set of tyres for my E46 M3 in the next few months. I currently have Yokohama Advans on and am quite impressed. What do you guys have on your E46 M3's and what would you recommend?

I have conti sport contact 3 and am dreading the day I have to cough up for new rubber :) they seem pretty good, but I have no comparison point.
luckely when I got my car I insisted they put new tyres on it, so i got a couple of k's left. will probably then upgrade to 19, but i guess that costs even more.

Bridgestone potenza adrenaline is an awesome tyre and if you shop rears about R1800 each front R1500 and they grip like a mofo cold , hot, wet.. i recently have some KENDA's on the rear for playing sideways but they grip hectic! they go for about R1000 a tyre!! good tyre for moneys worth!

Thanks for the info guys. Got a quote for Bridgestone Potenza RE040's - Almost half the price of the Yoki's or Michelin PS2's. Are they any good?

Bridgestone Potenza = awesome tires

I also like BFGoodrich a make from Michelin. When I bought a set for my car it was really well priced and its really good tires.

Have a look at this web link and just enter your vehicle year and stuff and click find it should give you this tire name g-Force T/Aâ„¢ KDW.

Would recommend finding the price of the BFGoodrich tires and tell us what you think.

I have the Yokohama Advans on the 540i, sh!t tyre at it's best, they are flippen noisy, and not so good in the wet. I put on Hankook V12's on the M5. The are good in the wet and dry, and have good cornering, are quiet, but just my 2c.

Okay, need to bump this. Got a price on Conti Sport Contacts and Toyo Proxes T1-R's. Should I just stick to OEM and go for the Contis? Also, did the E46 M3 come with normal Sport Contacts or Sport Contact 2's?

Go for the Toyo's. Had both Conti's, then Toyo's on my previous cars. The Toyos are much quieter and smoother than the Conti's.

They are a bit soft and also the Contis are coming in at about 5K cheaper:dropjaw:

R14k for the Yokis, R14k for Michelin PS, R9k for Conti's and R8k for the Toyos? What do you have on Rowen?

The only issue I have with Mintys (wrt Toyos) is that they have no f^&%* clue on how to handle stock :cursin:

They run out of sizes and sometimes give you lead times of 3 months+ before stock arrives.

I'm at the stage where I need to replace my 2 rear tyres on the X5 and they have no stock. I have Toyo's in front, and would prefer to have all 4 tyres the same brand and type but there is no stock :cursin:
