What oil they use in F30 320d

Well I see the oil they use in F30 320d is Castroll edge Professional OE 5W 30







Now I went to buy oil and it's changed/improved again







Just a note on the New oil with Titamium they don't even give the diesel spec any more and only states on the front that it's for diesel engine use ALSO BMW Longlife-04.

Hi guys, just my 2c , coming from a VAG 2.0tfsi owner, vehicle is known for high oil consumption. Castrol use to always need to be topped up after around 2 tanks. Switched to redline which is by far the best oil I have ever used and never required top up between intervals.
It's difficult to get though as there is only 1 supplier in jhb and it is very expensive, so switched to Mobile 1 also top stuff but princely R1000 for 2 x 4L
I am now on to Ravenol, just testing it out R460 for 5L and German manufactured. Change oil every 7000 k's usually will see how this fairs in terms of top up...
