Hi guys

I've always seen comments on ///M's and how a lot of people love the ///M's in manual. I'm a lazy bum, I prefer it in auto/M-DCT.

What do you prefer? You don't have to own one.

The poll is public too.

I say auto for a daily driver. Manual for the weekend toy.

I said manual, because I still have two perfectly functioning legs and enjoy the extra involvement of actually changing gears. And especially on an ///M car! But, with that said, I am not at all saying that M-DCT or their newer automatics aren't nice, they are. And in terms of getting the most out of the newer engines, the manual is always going to let it down slightly regardless of how good a driver you are. So it ultimate performance what you are looking for, then the manual is generally not going to be the way to go, but for those that go for the manual, it will always put an extra smile on your face each time you change a gear - manual rev matching!

No longer possible on the F8x M3/M4 :YesNo:

Have never driven a manual M, but loved the SMG in my E46 M. Nonsense talk of not being in control with an auto. With the flappy paddle you decide what gear you are in. The only difference is that the clutch action is automated.

I used to drive the long way home from work just to enjoy going up and down the box on a few good English B roads. Not once did I not feel in control.
