What is this?

Hi All.

Regrettably, I was unable to avoid this cardboard box on the N2 a while back and when I drove over it, it tore loose this piece of plastic. think it may be a brake duct or something. My exterior temp reader now hangs freely. think the clips must be broken off cause there is no way this clips back in...

Is this a tough fix?

looks like a brake duct to me... check the other side and see if you can see where it goes...

I Did...other side seems a bit different....think I need to jack the car up and see if I can remove the whole plastic unit and have that replaced...

not sure on your car but on mine if you remove the front grill you can see inside the bumper... way easier than jacking it up and taking other bits off

BTW, is it bad if my car has no brake ducts? I have an M3 bumper and there were no brake ducts when I bought the car.

Not unless you doing a lot on the track.For normal driving you will be fine.You can buy brake ducts for the M bumper if you want them,
