Hi Guys,

My car is at the panel beaters to get the front bumper fixed and resprayed, all those that saw my car at the Meet up on Sunday would have seen how ugly the front bumper looks...

Anyways, i went over to the panel shop today to check on the progress. I had a look at my car without the front bumper and noticed on the drivers side a little wire connected to the fender lining thing. Its not the temp sensor, unless there 2. What could this be monitoring?

Much Appreciated
Thanks

E46: Window washer temp sensor. This temp sensor activates the heated rear view mirrors (if you have the winter package) and the heated nozzles for the window washer.

If the unit is off, the temp will register as -40 degrees by default, meaning the mirror and nozzle heaters will be on permanently. Disconnect it and feel your mirrors. Nice handwarmers :)

It's for the spray nozzles for the windshield too. Open your bonnet and look at the electrical wires connected to the nozzles.

I also have wires going to my window washers, not sure if they do anything :dunno: didn't know you could even get the winter package in SA, doesn't really make sense, since it doesn't really get that cold in anyhow.
