twas doing that over the chilly spell alot..today it seems to have disappeared..have read that turbo's can whine in very cold weather..thing is I always warm the car before driving..also it's not as loud as that..you gotta pay attention to hear it

In hind sight I don't think it is something to worry about, turbos do whine (whistle) generally but on most modern turbos they are so quiet which is a pity - love the sound of a turbo whistling. At least the old Isuzu's turbo is still the type that you can hear!

I am trying to remember when I had that 320d LCI for a day, I do recall hearing the turbo at times and it did sound similar to that clip, especially when cold... :thumbs:
