In his defence there is nothing wrong with charging a callout fee.
I cannot phone a contractor these days to come and do anything without a call out fee.
You call an alarm guy out and its R300 labour + R400 call out before the dude has touched a tool, and virtually every profession is like that.
When I do remote diagnostics, I have 2 prices, one for coming to me, and one for going out, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Im not saying charge R1,200 or even a 3rd of that of it, dont rip folks off, but I see nothing wrong with a callout.
SecondSkynz's fault is that he would not look after his customer.
It was also not really his direct fault the the tints failed, I dont think it was the application, I think it was the material. Maybe it was his fault that he used cheaper materials, but should have had recourse to the supplier, and ultimately... Sort out the customer....
