What happened to my for sale thread

Hi there.

I sent you a PM explaining that you don't have the sufficient post count to be able to post up a car for sale. You need a minimum of 50 posts to be able to do so.

Please refer to forum rules.

Its suddenly gone?

Have you taken the time to read the forum rules?

Here is an extract that is applicable to you:

14. Private sales are allowed in the traders forum, but if you are deemed a commercial seller posting in the traders forum, your post will be removed without notice. You need a minimum of 50 posts in order to use the Marketplace section.

It is because you don't have the required post count.

Here is the link so you can become familiar with all the rules:

Edit: Went to get coffee before I posted my reply, and now Chef beat me to it.

Yes I had taken the time to read to forum rules, I must of miss read my CP status.
I did not receive a PM?
While I have not made your count of 50, I have been reasonably active and an enthusiast, while I respect your ruling its a little silly.
I don't want to advertise my BMW on Gumtree because I want an enthusiast to buy it, someone who will appreciate it.

Please accept my apology and delete my account.

If you don't like the rules, then don't play the game.

There's nothing silly about the 50 post rule. I used to be the Admin on AVForums and also implemented the same rule there. Sure it sucked for a few legit people, but it cut out the scammers almost 100%

The classifieds is a free service focused on enthusiasts. In order to have access to such a focused audience, surely taking the time to contribute is not too much to ask?

No offence...but having joined Sept 2011, and only having 25 post count, is for sure not active...but what do I know with my 20k post count.

Also you've logged 17 hours on the forum, not active again I say, but again...what do I know having logged over 6 months on the forum. :dunno:

You haven't been active in either a posting or reading capacity (as your failure to adhere to a particularly well enforced forum rule and account stats show) and even if you had been the rules are in place for everyone not just a select few.

It's sad that you feel the need to throw your toys after one incident, but to be honest if you feel forum rules should not have to apply to you perhaps the forum can do without your membership.
