Hi Guys

Been looking to get blacklines, but I decided I would first laminx the reverse indicators to see how it looks.
I like it and I'll be spending the money I would have on replacement taillights, on a rear cf diffuser instead.

Sorry for the crappy pics. Cellphone pics. Please look past the dust. Car has to sleep outside for a few days as I have a rodent infestation in the garage at the moment. Don't want 'em to eat up my car.

Sankekur, the 1st pic has laminx on the right hand side, and the left side is as it came from its mother.

I only laminx'd the reverse indicators. They were to white for my liking.

One can hardly see the difference as one can account for it being darker on the right because of the light shadow. If you look hard enough you can see it. Looks like you just wanted to take the edge off. :thumb:

Thanks. Yip, soon I'll get a CF rear diffuser, put on the beautiiful exhaust tail pieces I got, and I still need to get CF wheel center caps.
Then the big stuff, tune, DP's, DV's, maybe exhaust.....

Yip, it is neat. On the side overhangs I cut it so it will fold over onto the back.
On the line between the white and red lights, I just took care to cut straight.

If you gonna do your whole light, best would be to take the light off the car, and then stick the laminx. I did my bikes headlights as well, but on the bike, but I'm gonna have to redo it so I can fold it over the edges.

But don't be in a hurry when you do this. And use a hairdryr to heat up the laminx to fold it over the edges.
The instructions is that you get with it, is pretty good though!

also a tip to cut straight.

when you cut the laminx, you only have to score it, so just use a ruler, and an xacto knife, and do a light scoring, you can then just tear it and it will be perfect. also prevents you from accidentally cutting the plastic on the lights

Looks very nice, i might just do that on my one also. nice idea, i vinyled my grills gloss black, maybe give that thought as a mod also, wasnt a hard job and looks quite good. you can see it on my rides thread.

there is this one guy who has a Stratus Grey E90 like mines, see him on the road quite a few times, and he dark laminexed his top half of the rear tail-light. IMHO - from far looks good, like blacklines but from close looks a bit cheap though cause you can see the tint on the tail light

Saw your grilles. It looks super. I bought CF grilles though. See here, pg2. Don't know why I have this CF fetish all of a sudden.

CF front splitters are also on the wish list.

Hey Menno. I wanted blacklines. But I also want my car to look different, individual. That's why I only laminx'd the reverse indicators. Maybe later I'll change.

Don't really like the spoilers too much. Dunno why.

My wife hates the wheels, says they look dirty.
