Yay, my lights arrived a day early. We are moving house this weekend so probably wont get around to installing them for a few days but will definitely post pics once done.

Also ran diagnostics on my car for the first time in 2 months or so and...no errors...not a single one :)

It has a port inside the little cubby hole to the right of the steering wheel.

Definitely no port in the engine bay.

Decided to take a break from packing and installed the white angel eyes. Took 90 minutes start to finish. Main issue is that the AE bulb on the E65 is recessed in the main light housing and has a dome cap that covers it. I had to (1) use pliers to lock the lights in place and (2) figure out a way to pack the two parts of the bulb ballast into those holes. Either way it all fits and lights work. Will post photos later (as she is facing the sun atm)

I got a quote on fixing the oil leak on my E39. Now I am trying to decide if I want to spend the money or have a go at it myself. Getting the spares and fitting it would take me half a day but save about a grand. Decisions, decisions.

Always DIY. Don't see it as saving money but rather learning the car and having the satisfaction of fixing it yourself.
