from what ive seen it seems most bmw dealerships are a joke i think it would be a good ides to compile a list of dealers that are good :) please feel free to add...

im looking for a dealership in JHB south that is good... does anyone know of one?

My friend, i can honestly say one thing: All dealerships in JHB suck! I've been going to Menlyn Auto BMW in Garstfontein rd Pretoria, and believe me, they are tops!!! The boys in PTA are the best by far!! Thumbs up for Menlyn Auto BMW

No AUTOBAHN BMW...I think they bloody brilliant. The salesman even pics my car up from my house for services and leaves me with a 5 series.

LYNDHURST AUTO - :argh:

Will never take a vehicle there again.

Took a X5 3.0D 2008 model for a problem when starting.
They say they have to order a part and it will take 10 days to get the part.
Cannot assist with a courtesy car as the X5 is more then 2 years old.

The problem is their complete unwillingness to even consider finding a solution or a way to assist us quicker as being without a car for 10 days is not easy.

Extremely disappointed

Sandton Auto has been good thus far in terms of sales, had to send the car back in a week though which was yesterday but they made a mistake with the booking which resulted in me going again today which was dealt with in a great manner. I got a courtesy car as well. My sales guy is epic.

the DP and Sales Manager both personally came to congratualte me on the car, was greeted by name this morning as well and got 2 calls since with an update. I;m happy thus far, touch wood!

What helps is that belter of a lady that works there although I seen her at Mini a couple times i went there so I assume she works for bmw and mini :inlove: :=):

Cedar Isle sucks nuts, rocked up there in a honda jazz the one day to look at a 135i and was blatantly ignored, was told heres the cars we have go for it :flyfun: never again thanks very much

Looking to buy a F30, sent a request through the BMW website to Auto Glen, JSN Motors, Sandton Auto, Alberante BMW and Club Motors BMW.

Service was good from
Auto Glen- See Loricke Nienaber, offered me a test drive on first contact and was knowledgeable of car.
Alberante BMW- See Ruhan Breed, offered me test drive and lovely discount.

Not so good service
JSN Motors- Contacted me, no offer of test drive, sent through quote but not to my spec (which was sent via the website) and no contact after that

Bad service
Club Motors BMW- No response
Sandton Auto- One phone call to send quote. Quote was never sent, no contact further.

Not sure if this qualifies but thought I would put it up here in the event someone wants to buy a BMW

I have to agree with E46arc, I just switched to Cedar Isle Auto:rollsmile: and I'm happy with their service. I used to go to Forsdicks(now Kunene Brothers):thumbdo:, it took them 4 months just to transfer the cars motorplan to my name.

Auto Atlantic, been going there for more than 10 years even with my old E30 325i.
Never a bad service or parts/spares issue.

Auto Bavaria Midrand - Especially Jannie Venter even though he's a MINI salesman ....quickest financing I have done with him was when I was looking at a hatch 9am ...said go ahead and drove the car off the floor 1pm....that boy is quick.

also Donnovan Klue at Donford BMW in Stellenbosch, absolutely the best on mottorad side as he was a motorrad mechanic before going into sales...so he knows the bikes inside and out...really quick on sales as well...and gives really good buying advice...bought a bike from him without seeing it and the bike was shipped, arrived and it looked brand new even though it was a 2010 model.

absolutely horrible service from BMW Sandton - advertised a R50k trade assist but only gave 10k after fighting for it(contacting BMW SA).....offered next to nothing on trade (120k below retail) for a car that had only 15000km '11 320d and was still in showroom condition....begged them for 7 weeks just to give me a trade price and a proposal....pathetic!!
