Hi guys

I really looking at a 1 series coupe or a 3 series coupe. I want spend 240K max, what you guys think.

I am no mechanic and just heard loads problems on the N54 engines so not sure.

Any advice fanatics?

Cheers

Me too... but I'm happy I'm healthy and capable to work hard for what I have. Appreciate everything.

Hi,

With any car, if not maintained well you will run into issues. It's mechanical and wear and tear does exist.

N54 does have common issues. Work through replacing those and you have a reliable car.

Keep an eye out in the for sale section, I've seen a few 1 and 3 series that I would love to buy.

Enjoy

Does it have to be coupe? I'd say a nice facelift 330d ...if coupe there's really only 135 and 335i (unless you not really worried about power, theres are other options in that coupe range you can consider) you looking at, unless you wanna go old school and get a real mint e46 M3...my 2 cent.

With out thinking i would get a well Spec'ed LCI 330D Motorsport.

Remap it and you have the perfect balance of power and fuel efficiency.

Good luck on this exciting adventure :clapper:

How about a N55 135i? I'm sure you can get a good one for that price, I had a slightly tighter budget and found my 135 and loving it

I would say E82 135i or E92 335i, so much potential in these cars!
They can be daily commuters and weekend hoon machines. Goodluck with the search man!

R240k should just be enough to get you an e30 coupe...lol

On a serious note though, have you considered the diesel route for a daily driver instead?

I have had the 3.0d X5 since Jan 2014. Converted since then.

I would say get the newest car you can get, with the most warranty which leaves you with less to worry about.

i was looking to replace my 330i for another BMW daily drive but ended up buying an A5 2.0T Coupe Quattro S tronic for around that money.
