Hi guys,
I need your help in finding out if its possible to find out from what BMW model an engine came out of using only the engine/ gearbox number. Details like the model year, engine code etc. I have been searching on the net and forums and i seem to be getting nowhere.
I know that with realOEM you can punch in your VIN number and then you are able to get all the detailed info about the car model, year, engine etc.
For many ordinary people, even with most qualified technicians, some engines may look the same and will be easy to assume that its for a particular model until you buy parts and then realise that they dont fit and worst in some cases cant be exchanged back at the dealership.
Any kind of help with be greatly appreciated
