What are my Gearnob options?

Hey Guys,

Hope everyone had a good new years!

I eventually got fed up and have decided to get a replacement gearnob as i have a wood grain 6 speed gearnob in my car at the moment and everybody keeps asking me if it's a 6 speed and then i have to explain to them that my car isn't an //M and it doesn't have a 6 speed box.

I'd like to stay with OEM look gearnobs or atleast close to OEM. What options do i have and what kind of pricing am i looking at?

The current gearnob slides off so i'm thinking that there must be replacement gearnobs on the market?

It's for a '95 328i vert. Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure how much that would set you back but if your wood grain knob in good condition I would take it off your hands

When I had my manual I bought a replacement for R240 from a bmw dealer.

@ Legacy. I dont think he wants a 6 speed gearknob...

Get the Knob from Legacy then just get the 5 Speed emblem thingy from BMW

My interior is completely black, you guys don't think it might look odd with silver in it?

it will look good with a bit of silver. But why dont you just get a replacement cap 5 speed one.

Because the wood has a chip at the bottom just before the shaft and it irritates me quite a bit because i like playing with my nob while i sit in traffic

Problem already solved. My macky has an all black 5 speed nob, so i'm going to use that. Going to pick it up later today.

@Legacy, sorry bud, just really don't think the silver will work with my interior. Thanks for the offer though!

Thank you very very much!!:clap: I pmed you my details. The gera knob that I will send to you also spins around, but I have heard that if you put tape around the shaft and push the knob in it will solve that problem.

I don't know why M3s are so expensive when you can buy a 318i and make it an M3 for a couple of hundred on gumtree
