Hey all this week the car whent back to the stealership. As the gearbox oil pan was leaking again , this time they recon the pan has hairline cracks and the sealing sleave needs changing. Anyways 6.5k. ,d there's no pans at the stealers it has been orderd from germany , wtf plastic gearbox. On a car that cost so much

Dennis from Gearbox den did this exact job on my E65 for 3k

They had to make it plastic in order to integrate the filter to the pan in order to lower the profile of the box and the amount of oil needed.

Anyways, you could get it a gearbox shop for much cheaper, and they would also do a much better job than BMW, since they at least employ some people that have mechanical knowledge...
