I have had many great cars including VWs, Mazda, Nissan, Audi's, Volvos and BMWs.
My first BMW was a 2001 e46 320d exclusive - very nice until I wrote it off on fields hill. IT has done 187000 kms and still looked and drove liken new.
I took a huge knock financially these last 2 years so recently got back into a BMW with an e36 318i that the seller recently got COR for before selling to me but what a hassle, all I have been doing is repairs :banghead:
Once I recover financially, I have always wanted an e46 facelift 330d 6-speed :thumbsup:
I love turbo diesel cars especially due to the low end torque and excellent fuel consumption plus if you have a major accident you don't have to worry about burning to death.
Not sure if this has been noted here but here is a site that will give you the part number for any part on any BMW including previous models and if you enter the last part of your VIN number it tells you exactly what you have, engine model and type, when the car was manufactured and where:
