Hey guys,
I'm a 25 yr old animator in the commercial sector. I live with my girlfriend of over 6 yrs and she loves good cars too. I work my arse off and many late nights, and the time has come to reward my hard work by getting a bimmer to drive home after the late nights.
Welcome
I have a few questions and as I'm new to the forum, am not quite sure where to post them yet. I basically want to know the following:
I'm looking in the just <R200K range, potentiall up to just over 200K - might stretch myself if it's worth it.
1. I want to know what the opinions are on a 2004 330i (especially the individual), vs maybe a e90 325i. The diference in power isn't much, 24kw I believe, but I know the newer one is more gadgety. Never sure if that's a good thing. Which is best to drive. I drove the e46 330i and loved it. Felt so at home.
330i individual 6spd is my unicorn, absolutely STUNNING cars
2. Secondly, If I hold out quite a while longer, I could look at a 2006 330i - 200kw. Is this worth the excessive amounts more, or will I probably be as happy with an e46 330i?
You are going to take a much smaller knock on the e46 wrt resale etc. Its also a much more exclusive car than a base 330i e90
3. How are the e46 330i's at about 120 000 kms. It's higher than I thought I would find but I can't find any nice sub 100 000km 330i's, and I'm getting tired of waiting.
My e46 320i is on 128k now and doesnt miss a beat, I only wish she was a 330i, but shhhh dont tell her that I said that.
My ideal would be a 330i individual manual, the e46 in that 'baby poop' yellow(almost like Phoenix gelb) and a sunroof, second would be that bronze silvery colour with a tint of salmon on the edges(very rare), or a variation of blue. They're all so beautiful. I do love almost any colour on this car though.
Pheonix Yellow, and the other one that I dont know the name of
If someone can help me out with the names to those colours that would be great - I've been googling my butt off but to no end - my internet's pretty slow too.
ps. Great job on this forum guys, I've been a reader for a few days now and I can definitely say this is a community that I would be proud to be part of. A big screw you to everyone who believes that bmws are cars driven exclusively by idiots and posers, neither of which know how to indicate. We all know these people are moving over to Audi's and french cars =

, and BMW are now the car for the driving enthusiasts who can't afford supercars - and even some who can.
Glad to be here
