So I stopped at the shell garage on glenhove drive at around 10pm tonight with few friends to get coffee at the Brazilian.
When we got here saw a E90 320i parked in the parking bay, idling. Thought ok owner inside.
It's now 23:05 we just walked out and this car is still here idling but locked.
Could the auto lock have kicked in?

But this is weird

I've seen people at my local shopping centre park their cars, get out and walk into a shop without turning off the car...

Yes with newer keyless go and stop/start button ignition system, some people can simply forget to switch the car off when they exit leave their
cars and it can happen especially when in a rush.
