Ok, no problem, do you want exclusivity?

yes and no. depends on the deal...

really like the e36 m3...

but also I got consider mainatance costs, apparently e36 spares are easily available? and cheap?

but then, I also like the idea of a z3 ... because i am looking a weekend car .... well i dont know. what are your thoughts?

heard that the e36 is really fun to drive.
e36 vs e46....how would it go down? stock on stock? and mod on mod?

If you wanna diversify c32 amg. It is supercharged so a chip will give a good gain.

sorry to the merc lovers, but a merc is not for me :| could not picture myself in one of them. Thanks for input kisho

Get an e36/7 Mcoupe, thats exclusive, parts are mostly interchangeable with the e36, it goes like stink, its only a 2 seater, it looks the business, and it is very very very fun to drive, much better than the e36 m3. You will just end up spending lots on rear tyres.

How much should I expect to pay? and how many kms is a safe buy?

Yeah, thats an M coupe, I wouldnt get that one though, to have a new motor after only 95k km, it must have been raped. You can get a good one for R170k with not too many kms on it. The engine is either going to be the same engine from the e36 m3 or e46 m3, depending on the year of production. Both are good options.

This could be a good option, depending on the Kms done..

Not necessarily My car got a new engine at 88 000Km from BMW at their expense due to a fault from manufacturing. So it could have been something like that. And if the engine is new from 95K km then its got less mileage on it but provided it was done properly by BMW and not by some bush mechanic

Yeah that be true, but you will have to do some research to make sure of that. But then, you should always research a car before you get it.

I think I am in between e36M3 and the M Coupe....
Thoughts on both? pro's and con's?

To be honest, I love the e36 M3, but to ask me to choose between an M coupe and an E36 M3, I would take the M coupe each and every time without a doubt. Its going to cost you the same to own each, in essence, they are mechanically similar. The M coupe, for me, is just far cooler.

M Coupe is awesome, I'd also say either of the two, E36 M or M Coupe, as said before, mechanically similar, so either way you gonna love it! Nothing better than M power!

On the MCoupe vs. M3.

M Coupe's generally have lower km. This because they are not too practical. Having said that besides the 2 seats you have a very big boot for a sports car.

M3 is larger and heavier but the M3 will have better handling (I assume as its got a more advanced suspension). Although a E36 M3 pilot went for a spin with me at the track day and he commented on how stable it sits. I wonder if a better suspension will make up for the extra weight of the M3.

The M Coupe is the stiffest chassis ever developed by BMW.

The seating position is very sporty... but take one for a drive first... I am 5ft 8inch and I sit with the seat almost all the way back... so its not for big blokes.

Engine is the same, front suspension is the same but the rear suspension is from the E30. But because of the compatibility there is a large variety of upgrades.

Body kits are for obvious reasons like hens teeth...

MCoupe is high in the exclusivity department. Its a head turner, I get numerous thumbs up at robots and petrol attendants clamour to fill her up:) You will get uninformed people asking if its the new Z4.

Power gains... as easy as with the M3 but everything you do will have more performance gain due to less weight.

High speed handling is one of the areas I do feel the MCoupe will not match the M3. Over 200km/h it starts to get very light...

Jalopnik web sight have classified it as one of the top 10 cars of the decade (90s)

I went through the M Coupe vs. M3 debate and settled on the Z3.

I love my clownshoe:thumbsup:

In my life I have seen 4 in SA, and one is mine!!!
