water mixed with oil

my car overheated recently only once due to leak in radiator, i just had a new head gasket put in 3-4 months ago and this sudden overheating, i opened up my oil cap and water is mixxing with the oil but no oil in radiator. car starts up instantly no loss in power or misfire idles smoothly but a bit of white smoke out the mufffler. i am hoping and praying it is not another head gasket blown since i just replaced it less than 3 months ago.

dammit...that is a blown gasket, who replaced the last one and for what reason?
The head could have been slightly warped when replaced and it will just keep on blowing gaskets.


can you give a small history on why it was replaced in the first place. :sorry:

The cylinder head can also have a crack from the previous overheating event, in this case just replacing the headgasket will have no effect.

I would think the head might need to be sent to engineers for skimming and such.

its a 318i touring and the first time the head gasket was changed because a hose burst out and car overheated i was like 2-3 miles away from home so i did some silicone to slow down the loss of coolant and added more every time i saw coolant light coming on till i got home but by then apparently gasket was gone so i overhauled changed gasket piston rings a number of seals. this time around radiator has a split but i didnt realize since it burned up the coolant and i saw temp going up so i parked. car has full power currently no misfire or misses or anything just water in oil and a lil white smoke out muffler but i havent taken on a real long hard drive as yet as some said it can be condensationr
