Reason I ask, is there is probably not a single "stock" Audi S3 in SA anymore.... and they are the "fastest cars in the world" according to their owners....lol (very tongue in cheek that comment!)

Howzit all, im back at the office so happy new years to all and hope everyone traveled safe! Had a run on xmas eve on my way to the festivities with a E92 M3 it was myself and my Fiance in the car and he was alone. Rolled down the window to have a quick chat on ontdekkers road just before princess crossing, we waited a bit for the cars to clear up and had a rolling start from about 30km/h we both hit the loud pedal simultaneously (man that m3 makes a scary noise from the motor when you put it down ) so we where off 1st i pulled a nose or so, 2nd i pulled until he was at my rear bumper 3rd the gap grew by another 2 feet or so and just before i hit 4th we had to stop due to traffic. Gave each other the thumbs and at the next set of lights he asked me what was done to my car etc etc cause he "knew s3's where nippy but did not thing he would run behind one" i wanted to tell him that he would probably catch me higher up but i was enjoying the confusion on his face to much.

The guys signature says Revo2, not very descriptive but if it has all the stage 2 bells and whistles I'm not really surprised. Driven one of those before and they really are quick. Outrun much more expensive cars than a M3.
Also it says from 30km/h which removes the S3's tricky to launch nature from the equation.

Different tools for different jobs I say, on a track that M will run around all day - with Motorplan. And the overboosted Audi (or whatever) may just be a ball of flame on lap 5.

Anyway, 1/4 mile cars... pffft

I think the M3 is Darth..... way more of a dark side than most give it credit for! Maybe some light saber decals.... no,that's just a k@k idea!LOL! I'm under no illusion that those things are quick, just love the way the M3 is still the benchmark, so nothing has changed while I was gone! In fact, make that any M car.....

Agreed Johnny, those are short spurt cars, on the top end the M will just run and run and run....

The one thing I WILL give the Audi boys, they are very respectful of most BMWs.

I also had a run against a S3 when I had my M... I can clearly hear it has exhaust(pretty sure it has some mods too)...

So roll down my window, he's was already down and ask what he got... He just gave me a dirty look and say 2lt:thumbdo:

Thing is, you KNOW you are NEVER running against a stock S3, S anything really, software is usually the first thing that gets done then a bit of this and a bit of that. But being sporting is easy enough isn't it?

Well is alright, I don't really care. I had my mom and my girl both in my car...

He manage to get a good launch and stayed about half of car infront of me the whole time, so good for him:=):
