Morning guys.

Hope you all are well. I have not yet desided what to do yet as I am bit busy. I would like to purchase the BSW kits and all but the problem is it costs me just as much to import it as to what the kit costs. Have to go double check the quote.

The nice thing about BSW is the fact that you simply just replace every thing, no need to remove a whole lot of things and they send you the instructions for everything with the kit.

Hi this is what they quoted me.

Stage 1 - 549.99(Includes 50 dollar discount)
Subwoofer - 599.99(Includes 100 dollar discount)
iPod Kit - 99.99
Shipping will be 155 dollars.

Thats a total of R12000 +

This includes:
Stage 1 = speaker set
Subwoofer = sub plus amp plus box that gets neatly fitted in the boot to the top.
iPod kit = is an ipod docking station

Well, I got them to quote me on the parts and shipping to my front door, but could be few thing missing? I have to deside if its worth it and then get the paper work done and all before I will know the true shipping prices e.g.

The biggest problem is that I can not test it before hand, listen to the quality and all.

No, do not want anything to shake apart, just want a good ratio between bass and clarity.

Love my music and I need to hear the bass...

I also looked into upgrading my system with a full rockford fosgate system while maintaining an OEM look and head unit and they quoted me R6500. I would rather go that route as spending R12 000 locally you can get a much better system than importing at the same price.

Just my 2c

Hi, thank you.

Where did you go to get this quote? Did you run through with it?

If yes, how was the work and you satisfied?

Bly me... 12 grand for a sound upgrade... All in the name of OEM.

nee man...!! Just replace the whole lot with after market goods and keep the OEM stuff, when you sell car you can always put back the OEM stuff. Installing sound is not hectic you can do it in half day if you do it yourself. The lovely thing about bimmers is that the battery is at the back. I replaced all my speakers and head unit by myself, I am running one amp to my 12 inch sub at the moment, running the spilts from the deck and I get good sound.

I have to agree though that BSW have great systems would love to get their subs, and a good 10" sub would work well if configured properly but I would go with two...

Whatever you decide goodluck...

Musical Cars in Wynberg, Cape Town. Only reason i didnt do it : student salary. Couldnt afford it. But you are more than welcome to phone them. They are very helpful and professional. 0217623576. Carbon130i also used them for his system so you can pm him and ask him how it sounds.
