The other thing that I just dont get is SPL, WTF would you build an SPL car... cause throughout all the years I never got that one...

What does SPL mean, Zale?

When I was in England, we called these "boy racers". You would be driving along, quietly minding your own business and you hear a high pitched whine. You look in the mirror and you have a Fiesta with lots of "go fast stuff" bolted to it and a windscreen full of spotty faces 1 metre from your bootlid. Two sets of bony knuckles gripping a steering wheel and a leering goon tell you that in the interest of safety it is best to make this rubbish very small in the mirror.
Yeeees - its LOUD PEDAL time....!!!
:shocked:Sorry - got carried away........I'll be OK...

My 500 zim dollars worth.

I think his statement is true but not everyone likes the same things.

Then there is he fact that like some ppl likes to stand up at 4am in the morning rain or shine and go jogging - i am sleeping at my best - other ppl goes to china town and spend there whole salary buying aftermarket products - while others spend there life savings putting in turbos at the wrong ppl when they should have gone to the agents to have it done properly and rather took out another bond to get the OEM parts installed cause they wanted to go faster just that once to prove no point.

My point is "to each his own" as i will say my car is 2 times slower than it looks but then again i want to be seen not heard about.

MY opinion My 500 zim dollars worth :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::pimp::banghead:

ACS and Hammann are my examples of companys whose extras I would add to my car without thinking twice cos I know that science was applied to the design of those components.

Not some dude that uses a pastel crayon. Draws a line and says " that will do".

No offence to any specific group of car owners but I find that gollf and tazz drivers are amongst the biggest culprits, using these cheap fibreglass components that deform at high speed creating even greater drag.

Sorry. I'm not angered or venting, jusyt airing my thoughts.

Wow NoFear that sig pic looks SERIOUS. I don't know whether I like it but I could stand and look at it for a very long time. I think I admire and respect it - as you would admire and respect a work of art.
Now you've made me go all philosophical :excited:......:drama:

lol :excited::excited::excited::excited:lol

My thing is just this, my complete car is made up of the exact parts of that car - the original parts made into something else. The only thing that don't belong to an original BMW is the the fact that a normal e30 cannot have 19" mags without rolling its arch - but that is what makes it a a show car and we made it fit without rolling arches and wide asss kits - but i can neva race up against any car with the weights of my SPL modifications or the wheels. With that said even if i bought original ACS parts if its done wrong or put on wrong u not going anywhere faster. i hear that ppl should not go to a shop buy all the type of accessories you get and paste it on.

Also - some ppl are into different strokes - yes a quality part is a much better than a make shift and it comes with perks - but i no alot of guys that has little money and drives crap cars that is smart that runs twin turbo's done by rob green - the owner is a CRX but again choice - and dont worry no emotional stress here my man - all got an opinion.

SirBob - u dont no if u like it:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::slap: - but let me tell you no picture can make u believe what it looks like in the flesh or the metal - it will blow ur thought the workmanship on the car was good the idea might not have been the best :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

SPL stands for Sound Pressure Level, ie. BOOM BOOM tssst tsst...

I can do 180db, I can't sit in my car cause im going to go deaf, but I can do 180db's....

You know the kind, the guy can dry his hair in the morning in the car on the way to work using the bass of the sound. or if he runs out of petrol, he can bang the car down the road...

My original statement was "but i can neva race up against any car with the weights of my SPL modifications or the wheels" nothing against or towards
SPL.
just so by the way I no what SPL stand for - don't get so personal - and if you think you the only one that has 180DB in your car - don't freight i am not out to compete or beet - this is an opinion topic - and you will go deaf not death - but i no what u feeling when i put on my music i also don't hear the police sirens pulling me over!!!!!!!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::cursin:

but alas I believe in all honesty that a neat car is a perfect car - i will swap my BMW anyday for a full service history and well maintained 325 is in standard condition as a a play car.

What happens to the NOS bottle when you hit the brakes?
It looks like it just sits on the seat, unlike any passengers.

Seems like SPL is a brand name. They make amps etc.

Stands for Sounds Pretty Loud...:excited:

Appologies one and all

lol - the bottle was only put on the seat for the show so its more visible - it normally sits on the floor behind the passenger seat - the car is not meant really for back seat passengers but when the covers go on its more than comfortable - i also guess you right - i better take the airfreight while i still can _ lol:):):):):)

SPL Sound Pressure Level
SPL Special
SPL Scottish Premier League
SPL Software Products Library
SPL Spanish Primera Liga (Soccer)
SPL Software-PC (Personal Computer) Labeling
SPL Samsung Printer Language
SPL Spooler

sounds pretty loud to me tooo :)
I think

Saw one of these kind of guys on the way to work today, the guy drives a citi golf, he put LED strips on the side of the car aftermarket fog lamps and some of those rubbish looking angel eyes, yet one of his low beam bulbs are out, you can't buy this kind of style style....

Manufacturers and "Genuine" tuners spend lots and lots of time designing a car, and the styling. What worries me is the guy who decides to make his 1.4i polo look like an Audi RS4. Seriously.

sure customise your ride, but at least have the decency to do it tastefully.

I understand that not all people have the same styling tastes, but i think that when a vehicle is styled using aftermarket parts there should be some sort of order to the chaos.

whats real funny is the guy in the corsa or toyota corolla who decides to add a rear wing to his car. this is the funniest thing in the world to me cos logic dictates that a rear wing is to improve the downforce at the rear of the car which works very well for the rear wheel drive cars that those wings were designed for.

how would this aid a front wheel drive car? not at all. and some of these cars pack some real power. ive seen corsas and corollas over the 250kw mark which is scary enough, but when you have a wing holiding down the rear, essentially lifting the front up, reducing the road holding of the front im sure its downright suicidal.

anyways, just my R0.02
