ACS and Hammann are my examples of companys whose extras I would add to my car without thinking twice cos I know that science was applied to the design of those components.

Not some dude that uses a pastel crayon. Draws a line and says " that will do".

No offence to any specific group of car owners but I find that gollf and tazz drivers are amongst the biggest culprits, using these cheap fibreglass components that deform at high speed creating even greater drag.

Sorry. I'm not angered or venting, jusyt airing my thoughts.

..we used to say... more fibreglass than a yaught... :mmm:

Each to his own I say... I think as a guy, all of us went or goes through a stage where you want to stand out from the crowd, you want to be recognized as an individual who is diffrent from the mainstream.

I had a Ford Bantam 1600 Sport about 10 years ago which I modified, dropped suspension, 15" TSW Softlines, VR6 lip under the bumber, 63mm freeflow, Branch, Flowed head, 2000 watts of sound in that small single cab. It was completely useless at loading anything because of the lowered susspension, but boy did the other guys love it, and the girls too... :)

It made me feel good about myself, made me feel liked (Yeah low selfasteem issues was a big part of my life then) and accepted. Then oneday I it dawned on me that I am a individual, no matter what I drive :thinker: And BMW makes vehicles for 'Individuals' that stand out from the crowd, with very suttle changes... Hardly noticeable, but enough to make you look twice...

Would I modify a car again... Depending on the purpose (Those low selfasteem issues way in the past now) I think we men stay young at heart forever, and that would be the only reason wether it is to push the performance to the limits, just have a looker, or a SPL or all of the above... That will be up to your taste and personallity.

But dont pull up to me in your Citi Golf with an Air Filter mod and fibre glass kit and try to dice... My 320d M will eat you alive... :pimp:

I am one for keeping my car original. Even the dealership sticker gets removed from the rear screen. Now for a number plate holder without any dealers name on it. I also appreciate quality sound though not that earth shattering, window rattling bass that some strive to achieve. Regards. RP.

I am also one for the go faster than it looks theory. Look if I was one to circuit race with my car as often as I drag race there would surely be aerodynamic improvements but I would not go put on a wing just because it looks good. Same goes for wheels etc. I will not fit different wheels on the car unless they where lighter and offered a performance benefit. End of the day I sit inside my car so the way it looks on the outside does not really concern me too much. So conclusion is a prefer natural to silicon hehe.
