I'm all for individualism, so don't get me wrong here.

I often ask myself why people modify their cars to look like track day specials yet when these cars move its obvious that there is a tiny engine with no guts under that bonnet.

I know that I'm gonna get kak for this, but that's ok. I just want opinions. And as with each person responding, I am also entitled to my own views.

I believe, Don't step up if you can't put up.

I agree with you. I think make keep it OEM or OEM+ (like M-sport, maybe AC Schnitzer). Lots of people don't really know the value of OEM parts, and replace them with chinese aftermarket parts and then think they made an "upgrade". However my biggest problem is that most people that do these mods have horrible taste and the cars mostly end up looking cheap. On the other hand, it is very helpful if you are buying second - it makes it easy to spot the cars you need to avoid.

Some kids like to wear the WWF goodies 'to look like their hero'. It does not mean that the kid will become a WWF wrestler or have the capacity to hurl his buddy across the lawn, but by wearing the badging, you:

a) Imitate to impress/show off
b) Admire the skill in the real product
c) Acknowledge/Give credit to the original producer of the product by using/imitating his product

Enough psycho for today.

I love corsa's with huge wings. the drag on those must add at least 100kw
i agree 100kw in reverse effect.

Another thing that some people with mods dont get is that the cheap bumper mods etc was probably not properly aerodynamically designed. OEM manufactures spend a lot of money on aerodynamics these days. Practical and pretty is not always the same.

I'm a believer in beauty is in simplicity and symmetry. Go and have a look, sometimes you can pick up some looks off but cant pin point it, look at symmetry

just my 2c

ok, ok,ok... I will henceforth be removing EVERYTHING from my car!! :mmm:

Hehe, Coisman don't worry. We see you as an ambassador for ACS. A moving advertisement if you will of fine quality and performance. Its these guys that have the e30's or e36's that use super glue to paste vents on the hoods and front panels. WHY?????? Theres already usually a big rust hole in the side of the car sucking in air!!! And don't fit those fake fins on your roof that is suppose to act as an aerial! Just know this is not an attack on e30 or e36 owners. Im talking about these guys that have no respect for the cars they are driving:cursin:

I just pictured Coisman releasing the safety catch on his gun whilst frantically looking your address up on Google Maps.

Personal taste aside, there's a basic rule that should always be applied when doing cosmetic changes - yr car should go faster than it looks!!!
