Was there too with the wife's Jetta. Great spread put on by Porsche. Great atmosphere, good to meet some of the VW club guys too.

Big ups to all that attended. Bmwfanatics entered in style! Porsche hosted so well. Big thanks to the vwclub guys for arranging and letting us join them. We were thanked and mentioned in the Thank you speech by the chairman of the vwclub.

This is such a nice gesture! Would have love to have been a part of this - all I can say is "I was there in spirit". Well done to the organisers, attendees and supporters!

A massive THANK YOU to Porsche SA for saving a piece of South African motoring heritage for generations to come!

Ash, it was a very nice gesture. Porsche went out of their way as well. Huge spread for breakfast. Plus some freebies for the kids, awesome coffee and croissants etc. Plus the pleasure of roaming around their dealership. Mr Toby Venter personally thanked us for coming through. Such a humble guy.

At the end of the day it was all about saving an iconic racetrack...

That track cares not which car is driven in anger around it!

Was great watching the BMs arriving at Kyalami! Epic cars!

I arrived at Porsche and watched 90% of the convoy arrive, and it was indeed an inspiring sight, even TV was amazed!

Was a great meet, awesome turnout if you ask me by the various clubs. Porsche outdid themselves with the outstanding service, food and just letting us drool over their cars...

Strangely enough..., all our conversations revolved around Beemers even though we were surrounded by Porsches... :rollsmile:
