The VWCSA Jamboree is an event that always focusses on charity! The less fortunate kids will also be in attendance on the day! So come on guys. LET'S DO THIS

Getting to The Rock is pretty easy no matter where you are coming from! Yes it's in "The Pan" but it's only a 35min hop from Sandton. (Unless Tim "V12" Stephens is driving in which case its only 10mins!)
You need to get onto the N3 if you are coming from the north or south. When you happen upon GILLOOLY'S interchange, you want to follow the signs for the N12 WITBANK. This is the same junction as if you were headed to the airport.
From PRETORIA, it is quicker to take the R24, cut through BENONI and then hang LEFT onto SNAKE ROAD.
If you live in the East Rand, get yourself onto the N12.
Once you are on the N12, you head straight till you get to "SNAKE ROAD".
When you are on SNAKE ROAD (turn RIGHT when you come off the highway), you will be looking out for MAIN REEF ROAD. At the fifth set of traffic lights hang a LEFT onto MAIN REEF ROAD move over to right hand lane travel straight for +- 3km.
You will go under a bridge and then you want to look out for The Rock on the left.
Easy!

This event is going to ROCK... No Doubt!
Gymkhana is excellent for rear wheel drive cars like out bm's so come along. Show and shine also and for the quick bm's, the 1/8 mile. This event is catered for all types of cars.
Come along and support the VWCLUB. If you guys would like to donate anything to the kids, please let me know and i will arrange.

To whom it may concern
The time is near for the annual Volkswagen Club of South Africa Jamboree which is a culmination of all the past years events and an end of year celebration for the club and it's members. The event is motorsport orientated with a motoring event being organisd at The Rock raceway using their newly built 1/8th mile drag racing track and drift track to have head-to-head drag racing and a gymkhana competition, as well as a show n' shine competition. There will be various exhibitors invited to attend the day to show off their products and services as well as many excellent Volkwagen and other VAG cars on display on the day...
But one of the highlights of the day, is not for the club, or it's members, or it's comittee, or even for the competitors in the gymkhana or show n' shine event. It is for the children that are invited, from various children's homes and organisations, to come out and spend the day with the club and it's members at The Rock raceway! The club organises food, colddrinks and lunch for the children as well as some entertainment in the form of jumping castles, face painters, etc as well as some goodie bags with toys, sweets, etc. And the children are also treated to a few laps around the track with various members in their cars for a bit more excitement and a chance to feel what it is like to be in a race, although it is a staged one.
As such the club is always looking for any form of sponsorship or support be it monetary or otherwise to help out with the event and make it a day to remember for all involved, especially the children that come on the day! Below is a list that we are looking for sponsorship for, and as has been said, any form of sponsorship, no matter how large or small is greatly appreciated:
Sweets;
Chips;
Colddrink;
Toys/Goodies for goodie bag;
Lunch - Hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, etc;
Jumping castle;
Entertainer - Facepainter, clown, etc;
The event is planned for the 24th October 2009...
