One of my vacuum lines either popped off or split. I checked all the lines that are easily accessible, they are all fine. So now my question is: how do i get to the lower vacuum lines at the turbo?

Thanks in advance

On the 3l diesel i would take off the inlet duct to the inlet manifold which is easily removed. Then remove the boost pipe that runs from the turbo to the cooler and then the pipes should be visible. Should be much the same on the 2l

Recently bought a 2005 2ld X3. Took the swirl flaps out and went for a spin. Car was very lazy, as if the turbo wasn't boosting. Checked all the work i did on the car in my head but could not find anything i missed. When i opened the bonnet i took off the plastic engine cover and immediately noticed the egr pipe coming from the exhaust wasn't tightened. Fixed that and the car is back to its normal self. Was very relieved! Maybe that is your problem as well? Make sure the stainless steel pipe that connects to the egr is in its recess before tightening the clamp.
