Urgently need Advice

Hi guys, I urgently need your input/advice on a 2003 E46 320i auto.I'm considering buying the car, but not sure if I should.Car is in fair condition for its price, she drives well and auto gearbox changed well.My concern is I noticed that the BC is not working, tried to press it in a few times, nothing appears.I also noticed that the coolant light came on, but disappeared later on.
She currently has 149000 km on the clock( not sure if that is genuine km's) , the owner claims that he serviced the car with a friend who works for bmw.Car has new tyres and new brake pads.Before I started the car, the next service showed " 24500km"
Body has a few scratches, but nothing major and interior looks ok, just need a good valet.

Perhaps it's just the stalk that needs replacing then.

Is it easy to repair or replace and is it expensive?

thats a common problem on the e46

theres a small blue wire thats inside the stalk that split in half

you can do a easy diy to fix that

but before you do this it could be a simple fuse that is blown

Are there other potential issues that I should look out for.
The Coolant light that came up, should I be concerned

regarding the coolant light causes
-faulty sensor
- perished hoses ( leaking coolent)
- maybe there's less water

also drive the car and check if its not over heating

overall the 320i is a solid car and also considering it has low mileage which is a plus but the auto is a abit heavy on juice :thumbdo:
