Urgently looking for an Auto Locksmith

Guys, please help.

I need a locksmith that is not gonna charge an arm and a leg as I got quotes for over R5k so far.

The key is stuck in the ON position and completely jammed in my A3:rage:

AA only covers opening car if keys locked in and insurance only covers if it was tampered with with attempt of theft.

Any help is appreciated

:fencelook: oh man...... New years day I think you are stuck in between a rock and a hard place, they all going to hit you big moneys - good luck.
Have your tried taking off the battery for a bit to reset things first.

I dont need it repaired today, I just need to find someone before the 7th....

Break the glass.... Easier to find a door glass at the scrappy then what the insurance excess or lock smith will cost u ( just don't break the small rear quarter glass, that's the most expensive glass on the car

Car is opened. Key stuck in ignition

Howzit.

Not sure if this is going to help you but worth a try.

This used to happen with my polo almost every second week.

Take the battery off, obviously

Get some q20 and spray on both sides of the key, use the pipe to try and get it in as far as possible.

Leave it for 5 min. Don't turn the key just jiggle it in and out a few times. Won't move much but will help the q20 get in all over.

Take the key and turn it like you are trying to start it and then back to off, while doing this just move the steering a little bit. Be quite violent with the key but don't overtwist.

Just try rocking it back and forth a few times. Toward start and off. It will come loose

I also think on vag cars you need to push the key in a bit when trying to turn and remove it. Also is your car inpark? Key won't come out if it isn't.
Trying moving the steering also if steering is locked, might help

Ok Guys, managed to sort out.

Andy Lock and Key in Blackheath.

Very efficient guys, they were able to repair the ignition and remove the pin that dropped permanently.

These guys can laser cut and code keys as well.

Highly recommend them.
