Urgent. Passenger door

My Wife pulled the handel on trhe outside of the door while I was unlocking it for her. Now the door can not open. The lock works and locks and unlocks but pulling the handel from the outside or inside does not open the door. If i lock the doors and pul it once from the inside it unlocks, but the second pul does not open it.


How do I now get the door open and how do I fix it???

What car is it? The best way is to remove the door panel and see whether the door cable hasn't snapped... It is actually quite easy to get the door panel off.

Thanks got a DIY of the 46 forum. Easy to get the panel off if the door is open. LOL. Still not sure what was wrong but got the panel off, got the foam off, removed the Airbag and after fiddeling a bit got the door open and fixed.

wasnervous as it was my first DIY on a car like this. Airbag and all. I have one serious noob question. and yes go laugh it up. Where the hell is my batery situated. Wanted to disconect it before touching the airbag but alas............ And yes gizmo I will insert it for you...:facepalm::facepalm:

In the boot, on the right hand side if memory serves. I dont know the E46 well at all, i should buy one
