This and DIY I guess is the best bet!

So seems my second analysis was correct. I had exactly the same problem about a year and a half ago after I replaced the expansion tank and cap. I got my radiator from Silverton. Easy to DIY. Hope you get it sorted.

Thanks guys.
It has a leak right at the cap, but under the cradle on the radiator. I will post a pic tomorrow of exactly where its leaking. I am at work, so cant post pics here, unless I can email the pic to someone and they post it. :dunno:

The pic from Coisman:

He say this is a pic of the top of the radiator where the expansion tank fit, the leak is at the aluminum clamp on the radiotor

:ty: Petri. :praise:

So yea guys, thats my problem. Don't want to take any chances by driving the car, so I think I will leave it till monday, and then see if I can't get any better prices. :dunno:
PS: The quote of R1280 was for the Behr radiator, but I hope on monday when my connection is back at work I might get a better price... :=):

sorry to hear Coisman :( you should try mikes muti till you can replace the radiator...

just to update on my car replaced the return pipe and no light anymore... my guess is air was getting in causing the light to go on sometimes when not much water was lost...

Well, since I replaced the cap, the light hasn't come on yet, but with the preasure test it was spraying all the way between the airbox and the headlight, hitting the inner fender, and coolant dripping below the car.

I think a radiator replacement is the best way, so now its just a matter of the money... My mom, if possible, can maybe help me, will find out tomorrow, and the wife is only getting paid the 15th. :bangdesk:

Will maar take it slow tomorrow, have a braai, (meat bought this morning before the shit hit the fan), and relax, and worry futher on monday. :thumb:

PS: Maybe I must go hunting for criminals and "skiet die bliksems!" to relieve some tension...?? :sneaky:

Once the radiator leaks there it cannot be fixed .
Lucky it is cold weather now , summer would have caused grief .
The rad replacement is not easy , work carefully and dont bump it or your knuckles ( see how you bleed when knuckles hit rad fins ) and its done within an hour .
Catch the coolant if still newish , fill system and bleed it slowly .
Good Luck .

Have you tried Intercity across the show grounds ? I found a brand new radiator for my Corsa there that also burst on the side an the bottom. Was cheap as well.
