urgent help wanted with e46 auto box

Hey guys.
A mate of mine has some issues with is auto box. He's spoken to some Mac's around durban and they've quoted him some stupid money to sort it out. So what we looking for is a replacement box or if you know of someone reliable/trustworthy who can either repair the old one or do a replacement. Its a 2000 318i e46.

There is a place in Shallcross that does gearbox repairs, will try to get you the details. I also know that there is a Gearbox Specialist outlet in Jacobs......I'm sure DROP IT - ZN will provide the details when he is online. :thumbs:

Sparklight has a "branch" there but box is around 25k when i still had gopher. e46 318 touring A/T

Thanks bud. Unfortunatly its not. The car starts but enven though the gear selecctor moves and registeres on the dash display. It doesn't even click/clunk nor move an inch.

Your bud may want to consider ditching the auto box and going for a manual box. Might work out cheaper. PM your cell number so we can add you to the WhatsApp group for a more engaging chat with the local guru's. some of them are not very avid forum readers / posters.

Both Khans Transmission (031 262 3859) and Gearbox specialist in Jacobs (031 468 3939) would be able to sort you out but it's gonna cost you quite a pretty penny
Best bet would be to chuck the slush box and do a manual swap

Thanks guys for all your help. We found a Mac next to Game city in town who has a reconed box which he'll fit for us. Comes with a 3 month warrantee. Hope everything goes as planned.
