I don't really like the looks of this, and the M3 looks like they where trying to make it look like some kind of Jap tuner with all that stuff going on, I know the M3 is supposed to look aggressive but this is just too much, its like that want to use a lot of different styles instead of just choosing one (kind of like the from of the 1 series not-an-M coupe). I really don't like the new styling direction BMW is going in, but that is just my opinion :).

Will there ever be anything as perfect as the e46 again?

I have to admit though, I hated the e90 when it came out, but with the facelift (or ass-lift) it does hold some appeal. Maybe this will be the same.

The oldies will hate it and the young will love it. I like it and will probably buy a 335i if things go according to plan.

The front end on these and a lot of the newer BMW's is still the biggest problem for me (I don't like the "kicked in the face" glaring nostrils of the X1, 5 Series GT and the 7 Series for instance) - you can however see that they are following on from the E90 overall shape and playing a bit safe with the new styling. Still don't like it but can't help but wonder if it won't grow on me (and most of us) like the E90. The 3 Series GT doesn't look nice for me at all, just like the 5 Series GT!

looks like an angry pokemon :)

the old m3 was way sexier...

When you compare cars to pokemon, you say pokewalla. I don't know why, it just is.

I think this M3 looks a bit "Boy Racer". It doesn't have that subtle look anymore. The M3 is turning into something completely different to what it used to be which was a super awesome 3 series. It's now become a car on it's own and only has subtle references to the normal 3 series instead of the other way around. One might think that BMW will be bringing out a M3 series if they keep taking it further and further away from the normal 3 series. :hammerhead:

i have to disagree there if i wanted an evo X id buy one...

the e92 is good looking... yes this car also looks good, but it looks like some jap car and does not look as classy as the e92...

the e92 was way better because it looked good, but more importantly it looked european and had its own look... this m3 looks like it was designed by some Japanese comity who looked at the current cars out there and took the good bits of each...

so yes the look works all together and its ok... but where is the bmw identity?

The M3 looks like it will eat you ALIVE! Love it! Would love to see what the normal 3's Sport Pack will look like... As is looks alot like the 5 series... which I think is a stunning looking car... :) Wonder when one can start to place orders... :dunno:

These are just Computer-generated imagery (CGI). I don't think they'll release something so hideous :cursin:. One can clearly see the M3 bumper was taken from the current M3 with the 1 M coupe vertical slots added on and the M3 GTS spoiler as well. Mirrors, side skirts, bonnet vents, etc... are all taken from the current M3 as well as head lights from the 5 series. BMW wouldn't just copy their previous models?

I think we should just relax:) These pics are just to get the critics yapping, more a marketing ploy to see how the public responds to the cars. I'm sure the 3 series will look much better once released. Lets wait for it a bit, they have a year to rectify the problems, hopefully :hammerhead:.

P.S i found many different pics on the net, so none are real/final for now.

I think the biggest problem is that the rendered car won't have the presence the E92 and even E46 M3 has. That's what happens when too much race car bits gets added to a car.
