Unsold M3's

Hi guys :wave:

With all the discussion about M3's and the prices that people are asking for them versus the prices people are prepared to pay for them, i would just like to ask:

Are there any M3's (e36 and e46) that remain unsold (private cars, not dealers)

I'm asking about cars that have been advertised on the gum/ in junkmail, and cars that have been publicly advertised for sale, excluding:

-seriously dodgy cars
-rebuilds
-wrecks

All i'm trying to find out is if these cars are really being priced so high that people are flat out refusing to buy them? :fencelook:

EDIT: Im not asking for details of the cars, just if the cars are out there.

I get what you are trying to ask, but dont know if you will get a huge response-

guys will ask for a "ridiculous" price, then if it doesn't move they will either remove it, or they will take a offer that is fair to both parties.

Every couple months there are M3's (E36, E46) or 325is or 333i or 6 series ect that ask for very high prices, they never seem to be on for very long, so it makes you think, they either get harassed by the buyers explaining that they are crazy or they do in fact get sold.

There are lots of ///M Fanatics out there, i've personally seen people with newer model cars like eg. GTI/ Focus ST/ E90 BMW's, sell to buy e46 ///m3's

Most people tend to keep there Ms normally the rough ones come up for sale. The good ones fetch decent money.

The good ones normally get passed onto friends or get sold by word of mouth.

Its hard to sell a Garage Queen , people hardly know we have M3's at home because they always in the garage . Only come out on Sundays and to service / maintenance checks . Thus no one knows of the cars and we don't want people to know about them either . Advertising doesn't really help cause they's so many scammers , etc . Thus we quit selling ours and if we really do wanna get rid of them they'll be traded in .

I don't think this only applies to an M3. Many cars will remain unsold for a while for various reasons.

However there is a car out there for everyone, so every car has a potential owner and will get sold somewhere down the line.

///M cars are in my opinion collectors items specially if they are still in good condition with low kilos.

But yeah some people do tend to go a bit north on the pricing for them.

There is a difference between price and value.

My M3 is worth more to me than what it is worth to somebody else

i.e. different values

I saw (on chasing classic cars) a guy paying $2 000 000 for 196x Cobra..!

put them up for 300k each and see what happens :rollsmile: will be an interesting experiment...
